Por ejemplo: break up (romper con alguien), get together (juntarse), get along (llevarse bien), look into (investigar).

Por ejemplo: put on (ponerse); take off (sacarse).

Por ejemplo: wake up (despertarse), get up (levantarse), go out (salir).

Por ejemplo: Could you speak up? equivale a: Could you speak louder?

Frases verbales intransitivas: intransitive phrasal verbs

Por ejemplo: She’s passed out. / Se ha desmayado.

Algunos intransitive phrasal verbs son: run away, walk out, move over, drop out, break down, pass away, carry on, go away, hold on, carry on, join in.

Frases verbales transitivas: transitive phrasal verbs

Por ejemplo: I need to cut down on sugar.

Por ejemplo: look up, cross out.
Por ejemplo: get over, look through.

Algunas transitive phrasal verbs son: let down, put through, send away, move around, hand in, fill out, turn on, wind up, look through, get across.

Cuidado: Cuando el objeto es un pronombre (it, him, her), este siempre se ubica entre el verbo y la preposición en el caso de los separable phrasal verbs (call her back) y luego de la preposición en el caso de los inseparable phrasal verbs (get over it).
